Cancellation, return, refund, and dispute rules for artwork purchases.
Last updated
A buyer may request self-cancellation within one hour after payment if shipment has not begun. After that period and before shipment, the seller or Debuted may approve cancellation. An approved pre-shipment cancellation receives a full refund to the original payment method.
Every listing is marked either “returns accepted within 14 days” or “final sale.” The policy displayed when you buy is recorded with the order. A 14-day return request must be submitted within 14 calendar days after delivery and the artwork must be returned in materially the same condition.
Final-sale items generally cannot be returned for preference, fit, framing, or a change of mind. Final sale does not limit remedies for an item that is not as described, inauthentic, materially damaged before delivery, or otherwise covered by non-waivable law.
Open the order in your Debuted account and contact the seller through the order thread. Include the reason and clear photographs of the artwork and packaging when condition or description is at issue. Wait for return instructions before shipping. Use tracking and retain the receipt.
The buyer pays return shipping for an accepted change-of-mind return. If Debuted determines that the item is not as described, the seller pays reasonable return shipping. Buyers are responsible for secure repackaging and may be liable for avoidable damage or loss during an unauthorized or inadequately packaged return.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method after the returned work is received and inspected, or sooner when Debuted determines that return is unnecessary. Original shipping may be non-refundable on a change-of-mind return to the extent permitted by law. Banks and card networks control when a credit appears.
If buyer and seller cannot resolve a problem, Debuted may review listing details, photographs, messages, tracking, packaging, and other evidence. Debuted may require a return, issue or deny a full or partial refund, reverse seller proceeds where possible, or take other action consistent with law and marketplace policy. Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable consumer rights.
Report visible shipping damage promptly and keep all packaging for carrier review. Report tracking that shows delivery when no package was received, or concerns about authenticity, through the order thread and support. Do not destroy, alter, repair, or reship disputed work without instructions.
Contact support@debuted.com and include the order number. Debuted’s legal entity name and mailing address must be inserted before launch.
